I had a Glock 19 that I bought new around 1994. Shot close to 6.5k rounds through it, noticed it was developing "spiderweb" hairline cracks along the frame rails. I contacted Glock about it, they said I must have shot either reloads or lead bullets through the gun and their attitude was I was S.O.L. even though I never shot anything other than factory ( Federal, Winchester or Remington ) loads through it. After doing some searching I found out it wasn't just me with this problem. I contacted Glock customer service again, this time asking to speak to a manager. The manager at first was going to to charge me for a new frame, after about a half hour of complaining about the so called "Gock perfection" being some what underwhelming, he finally agreed to fix the frame for $50. As soon as I got it back I dumped it for a different gun, and never regretted it. Out of all the manufactureres customer services I've dealt with, Glock by far was the worst.
Never got a strait answer on why the frame cracked, like I said, Glock wanted to blame the owner for all problems, something that more than one former Glock owner has found out.
